Crackin’ Guacamole

If you love guacamole, you'll want to get crackin' on this recipe! It is a real treat served with chips, enjoyed atop fish tacos, or slathered on a burger. A few splashes of hot sauce give it a delicious kick, while cilantro and lime juice add freshness and zest that really complements the rich, creamy avocado. It is one our favorite things to make while entertaining friends and family, and we think you'll love it!

Ingredients

Guacamole ingredients

4 ripe avocados (pulp only, discard the pit and the skin)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup diced tomatoes (or salsa)
1/4 red onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic salt
6–8 splashes hot sauce
4 tablespoons cilantro
2 limes, juice only

Equipment

Food processor or immersion blender
Mixing bowl (if using immersion blender)

Step

Place all ingredients in a food processor or a bowl. Pulse with the food processor, or use a hand blender and purée ingredients in a bowl. Blend until mixture is smooth, but with some pulp remaining.

Step

Adjust seasoning to taste with salt, pepper and lime juice.

Step

Chill for 1 hour before serving.
