Roasted Sake Marinated Chilean Sea Bass

The umami flavor of the marinade complements the butteriness of the sea bass.

Roasted Sea Bass ingredients

4 each 6-ounce portions of Chilean
Sea Bass
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons mirin
2 tablespoons sake
¼ teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
peeled
¼ garlic, finely minced

Roasted Sea Bass

Step

Prepare marinade by combining all ingredients into a mixing bowl except the sea bass and mix well.

Step

Place sea bass in the marinade and marinate for at least 3 hours.

Step

At service time, remove sea bass fillets from marinade and dry with paper towels.

Step

Place sea bass fillets on baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes in 450°F oven until it browns to a deep mahogany color. Set aside and keep warm.
